Summary:
I explain how we can use our knowledge of human behavior and harness that power to intentionally influence ourselves to new levels in all dimensions of our lives: Personal, Physical, Relationships, Professional, Finances.
Often times we are too easy on ourselves and play small by giving ourselves easy outs. It's time that we step up our game and place some healthy pressure on ourselves.
There are 2 particular ways to intentionally influence the desired behavior to increase the likelihood that we achieve our goals.
- When it comes to our health, take a weekly picture and post it to Facebook. This will do a couple of things. One, if we are putting in the work and seeing progress, by posting it to facebook and getting "Likes" it will positively reinforce our behaviors that led to the results by giving us a drop of dopamine from the "Likes." Second, it will increase the likelihood that we make more health conscious decisions all week knowing that we are to post a progress picture to the public later that week.
- Declare your goals and make them PUBLIC. All too often we keep our goals and ambitions private. Why? Because if we fail it's not as painful because others never knew our true desires. It's also a way for us to easily change our minds or quit when things get difficult or we come up against resistance. When others don't know and we "quit" we haven't broken our integrity. We must use this powerful tactic of making a public declaration. Why? Becuase remaining consistent with our behavior and what we believe/say is one of the strongest human drives and influential powers. Therefore, when we make our ambitions and goals public and DECLARE what we are going to do we are much more likely to persevere and do whatever it takes to remain consistent with our word and uphold our integrity.
When we understand human behavior we can open up to an entirely new level. We must become conscious as to how we self-sabotage ourselves and reverse this process and use the power of, what I call, INTENTIONAL INFLUENCE. If we do it properly we will experience all new levels in all of our dimensions.

- What goals, desires, ambitions, and dreams are you keeping secret for fear of not following through on them?
- What specific declarations could you make that will put some healthy pressure on yourself and induce behaviors that will increase your chances of making it a reality?
- If you're trying to improve your health, why don't you take progress pictures? Why are you afraid to make them public?
