#67 - How Your Stress Is Killing You and Holding You Back

Video Summary: 

You may feel like you're working out, eating better and doing all of the right things but you're still not seeing the results that you are expecting.  Well, it could very well be your stress levels that you're choosing to carry.  

YOU MUST MANAGE YOUR STRESS

Our level of stress is directly correlated and determined by the story that we tell ourselves.  We CREATE our stress with our thoughts and how we perceive our "problems" or situation.  

It's probably not what you want to hear, because when we realize and believe that we control our stress, we no longer have excuses.  Think about it....The president of the United States...do you think he has as many responsibilities as you?  Shouldn't he be 1000x more stressed then you?  

Stress is nothing more then our perception and the combination of our thoughts.  

We can learn to develop the SKILL to frame problems, events, situations that will not escalate our stress levels.  How?  We must become more aware of our thoughts so we can NOT attach to them.  This will empower us to manage our stress more effectively.  

How do we practice more awareness so we have the power to manage our stress?  

  • By Meditating each day.  

Mastering our mind enables us to develop more emotional intelligence which enables us to feel less stress.  This is KEY if we are to ever reach our true potential.  Therefore, we must make it a priority.
